    Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-only, once-weekly injection and the first medication of its kind to activate both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. It is licensed in the UK for chronic weight management alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

How to use a Mounjaro KwikPen

Prepare. Take a new KwikPen from the fridge and check the solution is clear and colourless through the window. Wash your hands, then clean your chosen injection site — abdomen, upper thigh or upper arm — with an alcohol swab and allow it to dry. Remove the base cap to expose the needle.
Inject. Place the clear base flat against your skin and press the purple injection button. Hold the pen firmly in place — you will hear a first click as it starts and a second click when the dose is complete. Count to five before lifting the pen away from your skin.
Discard & Record. Check the grey plunger is visible through the window to confirm the full dose was delivered. Drop the used pen straight into a sharps container — never a regular bin — and note the date and injection site so you can rotate locations each week.
Missed dose. If you miss your weekly Mounjaro dose, take it as soon as you remember — as long as your next dose is at least four days (96 hours) away. If less than four days remain, skip the missed dose and continue with your usual schedule. Never take two doses to catch up.
